STUDENT RESOURCES

Workforce Development is part of the Chamber's core principles, but we cannot accomplish this without strong companies in our corner providing working and learning opportunities for East End Youth.

Student resources and career exploration experiences like internships, scholarships, volunteer opportunities and camps enhance academic learning and cultivate well-rounded individuals equipped with the skills and experiences necessary to excel in their future careers and workforce.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Scholarships serve as a gateway to educational opportunities and not only provide financial support but also open doors to a brighter future for deserving students.

Businesses and organizations offering scholarships empower individuals from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds to access higher education, fostering inclusivity and diversity within academic institutions and eventually the workforce.

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Internship programs provide valuable learning experiences for both students and the company itself. These opportunities offer students a chance to explore different career paths, gain practical skills, and learn about the real world of work.

For companies, they bring many benefits starting with fresh perspectives, energy, and enthusiasm into the workplace. They can also serve as a pipeline for recruiting talented individuals for future full-time positions. By hosting these programs, companies invest in the future workforce and contribute to the development of young professionals.

APPRENTICESHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Apprenticeship programs are a great way for students to gain hands-on experience while developing key skills in their chosen field. These programs provide students with the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, enhancing their understanding of the industry and preparing them for future career success.

For employers, apprenticeships offer valuable benefits, including the chance to bring in motivated, eager individuals who can contribute to the team right away. Additionally, apprenticeships help companies identify potential future employees and build a skilled workforce. By offering these opportunities, businesses not only invest in young talent but also help shape the next generation of professionals in their industry.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Volunteering is a student's first introduction to networking! These opportunities provide valuable learning experiences for students and are a chance to do good for others and the community. Volunteering also creates a sense of connection to others in the community, allows students to give something back, learn new skills, and provide valuable work experience.
