Celebrating Chamber Members’ Milestone Anniversaries: 2022
The East End Chamber of Commerce would like to highlight the milestone anniversaries of our members celebrating 20 years or more of dedicated service to our community. 
The success of the Chamber is deeply rooted in the partnerships with our members. Together we have built strong relationships that have contributed to the growth and expansion of the region. With over 234,000 residents and over 7,700 businesses, the Chamber is proud to continue the relationships with our members boasting landmark years of service. 

Tejas Office Products – 60th Anniversary
Tejas Office Products was founded in 1962 by Lupe Fraga to provide our community with quality office supplies. Today this family-run business has become the largest independent office product company in the Houston area. A Chamber member since 2009, Tejas Office Products is also an office product supplier for Cape Canaveral and Florida, offering a full range of office products. The company also provides environmentally-friendly furniture to its clients. Working alongside numerous vendors, Tejas can provide supplies for offices small and large. The company sets itself apart by being committed to its mission of focusing on customer service. 

Carlos Garcia Realty – 50th Anniversary
Carlos Garcia Realty was founded in 1972 by Carlos Garcia Sr., with his sons entering the business shortly after, and has been a member of the East End Chamber since it was founded in 1991! The Garcia's founded their company with the vision of unwavering excellence and the intent to establish a business based on the values of outstanding quality, honesty, integrity, and reliability. Carlos Garcia Realty offers its clients an array of buyer, seller, and commercial services, meeting all your conceivable real estate investment needs.

Community Family Centers- 50th Anniversary
Formerly known as the Chicano Family Center, Community Family Centers (CFC) was founded in 1972 and is celebrating 50 years of providing community-based social and educational services to low-income families in Houston’s East End. CFC has been a member of the Chamber since 2000. The staff and over 500 volunteers serve more than 40,000 clients each year, working tirelessly to provide a safe environment for children and adults to attain the education and skills they need to thrive in the workforce. CFC also provides vital family support services to meet needs such as food insecurity and wellness issues. Together with community partnerships, CFC is strengthening and empowering families of the East End to flourish and succeed in the future.
 
RDLR Architects, Inc. – 40th Anniversary
Founded in 1982 by Rey de la Reza, FAIA, RDLR Architects (RDLR) celebrates a 40-year history, now in its second generation of ownership. RDLR has been a Chamber Member since 2020, creating some of East End’s most iconic public spaces like Streetscapes and award-winning architecture throughout Houston, including SER Jobs for Progress and the future Harris County Sheriff’s Office. RDLR is part of the phenomenal growth of Latino businesses not only in the East End but nationally as it continues to expand and serve the needs of its community-focused non-profit and public clients. With over 40 design awards, RDLR is Houston’s only Minority, Women, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise firm to receive the Texas Society of Architects Architecture Firm Award. 

Rebuilding Together Houston – 40th Anniversary
Rebuilding Together Houston was founded in 1982 by Houstonian Robert Mosbacher Jr. as a Private Sector Initiative. In 2003 they joined a network of organizations called Rebuilding Together that provide critical home repairs with energy-efficient upgrades to low-income elderly, disabled, and veteran homeowners. Celebrating its 40th Anniversary this year, Rebuilding Together, along with enlisting the help of community volunteers and licensed contractors, is the only organization, according to its website, to provide hundreds of families annually with non-disaster repairs adding to the safety and beautification of these generational homes. 

Houston MediaSource – 35th Anniversary
A Chamber member since 2015, Houston MediaSource (HMS) came on the scene on May 31, 1987, opening the door for Houstonians to showcase programming exploring topics and issues rarely addressed that are created by and for the community. Topics covered range from politics, culture, religion, health, and art, among other programs that reflect the diversity of the city. Celebrating 35 years as Houston’s “Virtual Town Square,” this year marks the debut of many added features for HMS including a new remote video production van, enhanced video-on-demand services, and the availability of HMS-TV programming on several streaming services.

H-E-B Gulfgate – 20th Anniversary
It’s been two decades since H-E-B Gulfgate opened its groundbreaking store in the East End, bringing a diverse selection of products catered to the region. With more than 420 stores throughout Texas and Mexico, H-E-B Gulfgate continues its mission to provide exceptional customer service, low prices, and top-quality products with our Chamber Board Chair Mike Redditt at the helm. Headquartered in San Antonio, we’re proud to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the H-E-B East End location that has been a member, partner, and supporter of the Houston East End Chamber of Commerce.
