Denise Hamilton

Denise Hamilton is a nationally recognized Diversity & Inclusion leader, specializing in Ally training. Denise is Founder and CEO of WatchHerWork, a digital learning platform for professional women. She is a highly requested speaker and trainer as well as media personality whose platform has reached and served people all over the world. Denise leverages her 25 years of executive experience with Fortune 500 organizations like AOL and CBRE to provide solutions that support the employees and the bottom line.

Clients have said Denise’s superpower is the ability to have the most challenging discussions and come out the other side with solutions and a positive direction. She uses this gift to lead workshops, design education programs, and coach senior leaders. The goal is to empower individuals and teams to mine and close the gender gap, understand differences, resolve conflict, and become better allies. Her clients include household names, like Apple, ExxonMobil, Hines, Shell, the United Nations, and the WNBA.

Denise has been featured on NPR, Forbes, FOX, Huffington Post, CBS, NBC and on many other outlets. She was named one of Houston's 50 Most Influential Women by Houston Woman Magazine, one of the 41 Most Fascinating People in Houston by the Houston Chronicle and a 2018 Woman Who Means Business by the Houston Business Journal.

Denise currently serves on the board of EMERGE and is the Chair of the Business Subcommittee for the 2020 Census for the City of Houston. She has served on the board for the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce, the RISE School and Avenue Community Development Corp. She received her Master’s in Communication and her BSW in Social Work from Abilene Christian University. She currently resides in Houston, Texas

Raquel Boujourne

Raquel Boujourne is CEO and co-founder of Indi Construction Partners, LLC which is one of the largest Latina General Contractors in the United States. She began her construction journey in 2009 and has built a team that continues to strive for excellence. She has participated in over $500M worth of projects and oversees a national team that strives to continue its growth while inspiring other women to participate in construction and development.

Boujourne is a member of the Associated Builders and Contractors Association, Latin Women’s Initiative, Hispanic Women’s Network of Texas, Lulac 60 Council, Leadership Houston Alumni, and former Vice Chair for the National Association of Minority Contractors. Raquel Boujourne founded the Boujourne Foundation in 2022 which guides and encourages young at-risk youth via mentorship programs and various social events that promote positive leadership and thinking. The Boujourne Foundation also supports other various causes such as affordable housing solutions where Boujourne is focused on finding economic solutions to the national housing crises. She is constantly looking for ways for her team to grow in their craft and even encourages continuing education to better themselves and their personal growth.

Victoria Chen

Victoria Chen is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of BridgeYear, a Houstonbased nonprofit that connects underserved youth to careers and educational opportunities that led to economic stability and independence. BridgeYear focuses on well-paying careers that do not require a four-year degree and provides students handson career exploration opportunities, tangible resources, and direct access to local training programs through MorePathways.org. Chen received a BS in Neuroscience from Brown University, an MBA from the Yale School of Management, and is a Teach For America alum.

Mayra Moreno

Mayra Moreno joined KTRK-TV Eyewitness News in October 2015. A journalist with years of experience, Mayra has reported all over the state of Texas. She comes back to her hometown of Houston from KENS 5 in San Antonio, where she worked as the weekend anchor and reporter for four years.

Mayra's television career started at the Rio Grande Valley's news leader, KRGV-TV Channel 5 News in Weslaco, TX. Mayra covered an array of stories; from border-crime issues, to hurricane coverage and other problems affecting the community. A few years later, Mayra found her way back to Houston a as a fill-in anchor and reporter for KIAHTV's CW 39 News.

Throughout her career, Mayra has covered many notable stories. During her time at the CW, she was one of the many journalists to report live from Fort Hood after the deadly 2009 shooting. In San Antonio, Mayra was nominated for a Lone Star Emmy on an investigation into the city's DWI no refusal program, where blood samples began piling up and caused a backlog at the courts. Mayra also covered some major weather-related events: from the deadly Memorial Day floods of 2013 and 2015 in the San Antonio area, to the tornado that tore through Acuna, MX later that year.

Mayra is happy to return home to Houston. She's a proud alum of the University of Houston, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a double major in Journalism and Spanish.

Mayra loves being involved in the Hispanic community. When she's not talking to kids at local schools about the importance of staying in school, Mayra loves to spend her free time with family and friends, working out and cooking.

Tifanie Steele

General Manager at Chevron - Pasadena Refinery

Tifanie Steele

Tifanie Steele moved throughout the U.S. six times during her childhood as her father’s career progressed. The nomadic lifestyle gave her something that served her career well: a love for chemistry developed among the numerous high schools that she attended and the ability to hit the ground running in new environments.

Having held several roles at multiple Chevron sites, she has proven herself as a versatile employee with the skills, technical expertise and business savvy necessary to lead a refinery. After nearly a decade and multiple roles at Chevron’s Richmond, California, refinery, Steele was offered promotions that required her to relocate, first to Chevron’s Salt Lake, Utah, refinery.

In 2020, Steele was off to Pasadena, Texas, to manage operations for Chevron’s newly acquired refinery. Alongside other managers, she assessed the refinery’s condition, identified areas of improvement and prioritized how to implement best Chevron practices. Within a year, she was promoted to Chevron’s general manager for the office of the chairman, her first enterprise wide role.

Still, she had the lingering feeling that her work at the Pasadena refinery wasn’t finished. When she had the opportunity to return in January 2023 as GM, she took it. Steele is now responsible for the safe and reliable operations of the entire refinery.

Steele is helping blaze the trail for other women in the industry. She has a Bachelor of Science and Engineering from Arizona State University.
