Houston Nonprofits Receive More Than $420,000 from Bank of America Charitable Foundation
The Bank of America Charitable Foundation today announced that it contributed more than $420,000 during the first half of 2011 to 21 area nonprofit and community-based organizations throughout Houston as part of its strategic focus on supporting local organizations. This money helped fund a variety of programs and projects in the areas of education, health and human services, arts and culture, and community development.
"We’re very pleased to be able to give back to the communities and the people we serve by supporting our friends and neighbors through the Bank of America Charitable Foundation," said Kim Ruth, Houston and Texas market president for Bank of America in Houston. “It takes strong partnerships between the public and private sectors to help build better communities and make Houston a great place to live and work.”
