SUMMARY

Responsible for assigned function business process analysis for functional development and implementation of PeopleSoft (Human Resources, Finance, Student Administration).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform comparative analysis of assigned function current procedures and PeopleSoft best practices.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for successful product implementation, enhancements and/or upgrades.
  • Participate in PeopleSoft assigned function training in order to assist in the integration and implementation processes.
  • Review HCCS business process and compares with People Soft system to determine functionality gaps and works with designated HCCS personnel to identify appropriate changes in the business processes and/or required software modifications.
  • Confer with technicians, programmers, and database analysts to run tests and ensure that business processes are operating correctly.
  • Develop appropriate test cases necessary to perform validation testing on all required HCCS modifications, customizations, fixes, interfaces, and patches.
  • Conduct or facilitate testing for Quality assurance purposes.
  • Create, export, and filter information to make it user friendly.
  • Write step-by-step instructions.
  • Test PeopleSoft patches.
  • Produce query reports.
  • Build and maintain table values in PeopleSoft.
  • Analyze and evaluate assigned function's processes and new requirements to develop and integrate new solutions within PeopleSoft.
  • Provide direction to IT technical staff for programming and system needs.
  • Handle sensitive information in a professional and confidential manner.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Information Management or a relevant field, or four (4) years directly related work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. EXPERIENCE


Minimum of three (3) years experience in the use of personal computers (including client-servers/ Web) for business (functional) applications, including experience in the assigned business function. NOTE: Part-time experience will be counted as half of full-time experience; for example, two (2) years of part-time experience will equal one (1) year of full-time experience.

Work experience in higher education institution or community college environment is preferred.

  • One (1) year of Business Analyst experience required.
  • PeopleSoft or UPK system experience in assigned function preferred.
  • Experience in facilitating training classes and utilization of UPK software preferred.
  • Some Vignette Portal content management experience preferred.
  • HCCS experience highly preferred.
