Maximus Coffee Group, LP is currently seeking entry level Operators. Maximus Coffee Group is one of the largest manufacturers of coffee and related products in the world. The Houston, Texas, facility’s 24-hr operations include production lines and processing for coffee roasting, grinding, decaffeination, blending, packaging, palletizing, warehousing, receiving, shipping and other tasks. Entry level Operators will have the opportunity for advancement and wage increases as they become trained on various production lines/tasks, gain seniority and exhibit superior work performance.
Starting Salary: $9.20/hr
Requirements
Qualified candidates will have experience with the following:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years job related experience and/or training.
- Minimum 2 years in the manufacturing industry or related experience.
- Mechanical abilities a plus or related mechanical expertise will be considered.
- Willing to work over time, weekends and any shift.
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience in food manufacturing facility or clean room environments is a plus.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- Must be able to pass background check and drug test.
- Must be able to pass a basic skills/math test.
- Candidates with other background experience who can show a steady work history and are willing to work in a factory atmosphere will be considered.
Duties
- Adheres to all health and safety procedures set by company policy.
- Requires task walking (6-8 hrs), stand (6-8 hrs), and sit (0-1) hours.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, and push/pull from 2 to 50 pounds.
- Frequent sustained overhead work depending on assigned task.
- Repetitive and/or frequent sustained reach/work above shoulders.
- Repetitive and/or frequent shoveling posture depending on assigned task.
- Support everyday production on the line.
- Minimizes waste or misuse of raw materials.
- Maintains housekeeping standards and adheres to good manufacturing practices.
