Great Things are Happening in Houston's East End!

 

We are celebrating incredible success this month, a culmination of many months of hard work and dedication from our committed members!

  • The City and County approved an agreement to build the Houston Dynamo Stadium in the East End!
  • Five new METRO Board Members were appointed by Mayor Parker with commitment to build light rail that is an attractor for eocnomic development, rather than a deterrent!
  • An East End manufacturer approved an expansion that will retain 600 jobs in the East End!
  • The National Engineering Academy at Chavez High School will graduate the first senior class in May and the 53 seniors will receive laptops for college at at the May 12th Chamber Luncheon!
  • The Port of Houston Maritime Academy at Austin and Yates High Schools will celebrate the successful completion of their first year with 100+ freshman completing the course at each school!
